Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the website operated by AutoServiceHistory ("us", "we", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

1. General Usage and Service Description

AutoServiceHistory provides a digital platform for storing and managing vehicle service records. Users upload images of physical service documents, and we utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract data and digitize these records.

2. Purchases and Payments

2.1 One-Off Payment Model

Unlike subscription services, AutoServiceHistory operates on a "Pay-Per-Vehicle" basis. You agree to pay a one-off fee of 200 credits to own a digital record for a specific vehicle.

2.2 Lifetime Access

Payment grants you "Lifetime Access" to the digital record of that specific vehicle while you are the legal owner of the vehicle. "Lifetime Access" is defined as the duration that the AutoServiceHistory platform remains operational and commercially viable.

2.3 Refunds

Per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a right to change your mind and claim a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not started using the digital services. By uploading documents and initiating the AI extraction process immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that you lose your right to the 14-day cooling-off period and refunds will only be issued at our sole discretion or if the digital content is faulty.

3. Vehicle Ownership and Transfer

3.1 Ownership

You represent and warrant that you are the legal owner of the vehicle for which you are creating a record, or that you have the explicit permission of the legal owner to do so.

3.2 Transfer of Digital Records

If the physical ownership of the vehicle changes, the digital record on AutoServiceHistory may be transferred to the new owner. It is your responsibility to initiate or facilitate this transfer through the platform's provided tools. Once a record is transferred, you may lose access to that data.

4. AI Technology and Accuracy Disclaimer

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY.

4.1 Nature of AI

Our Service utilizes third-party AI technology (including but not limited to Google Gemini and Amazon Web Services) to read and interpret the images you upload. AI is not infallible. It can, and occasionally does, make errors in reading numbers, dates, and text (e.g., mistaking a mileage figure or a date).

4.2 User Responsibility to Verify

You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the data extracted by the AI. You must check the digital record against your physical receipts before relying on the data.

4.3 No Liability for Data Errors

AutoServiceHistory accepts no liability for errors in extraction, transcription, or data storage. We are not responsible for:

Inaccurate service histories affecting the resale value of a vehicle.

Missed maintenance due to incorrect date reading.

Any financial loss resulting from reliance on the automated data extraction.

5. User Content and Data

5.1 Upload Permissions

By uploading images (receipts, invoices, logbooks), you warrant that:

You have the right to upload this content.

The content does not infringe on the privacy or intellectual property rights of any third party (e.g., previous owners' names or mechanic's details unrelated to the service history).

5.2 License to Use

You forfit ownership to AutoServiceHistory of the content you upload. You also grant AutoServiceHistory a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, copy, and process the content for the purpose of providing the Service .

5.3 Prohibited Content

You must not upload:

Illegal content.

Malware, viruses, or code.

Documents containing sensitive financial data (credit card numbers) unrelated to the vehicle service history.

6. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

To the extent permitted by law:

Cap on Liability: Our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising in connection with these Terms shall be limited to the total amount you paid to us for the specific vehicle record (i.e., £4.99).

Indirect Loss: We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of vehicle value, or loss of data.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of AutoServiceHistory. The Service is protected by copyright and trademark laws of the United Kingdom.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
